StutterBetter is an initiative to provide and increase access to care to persons who stutter from underserved and underrepresented communities. We do this through advocacy; raising awareness and building connections and partnerships that bring stuttering resources, services and supports to individuals and the families who support them.

Hi. I’m Chris McLeod. A nightmare at the age of three left me with a lifelong stutter. For most of my life I dealt with the shame, fear, and anxiety from my stutter. When the world went virtual in 2020, everything changed. My stutter became the worst it had ever been. Zoom meetings became high stress situations where I was put on the spot to speak. It was paralyzing. When it all became too much to bear, I decided to do something about it.
